Cubs were lucky enough to avoid the heavy rain this Monday by using the Pavilion for their meeting.

The meeting was planned to take place in the grounds at the pavilion. But due to the rain, leaders were on the verge of cancelling the meeting before the management at the Pavilion offered the use of the inside area.

The space was perfect for completing Cycling badge activities. And Cubs were thrilled to be able to use the venue. Harri, age 8 said, “riding indoors is so weird and so much fun”. Leaders set up a series of challenges for the Cubs to improve their cycling skills and road awareness. Although not as realistic as being outside, the controlled environment allowed the Cubs to improve skills like setting off, stopping, passing pedestrians with consideration, and negotiating junctions and other vehicles.
