Making the most of the early May bank holiday, Cubs visited Bowley International Scout Camp in Lancashire for a two night, three day camp.

Bowley is a traditional Scout campsite set amongst small pockets of woodland. Alongside activities arranged by Llangollen leaders, the site offered a variety of activities and Cubs took part in grass sledging, crate stacking, air rifle target shooting and a site wide treasure hunt. The varied activities helped develop the Cub’s teamworking and communication skills.

The weather forecast for the weekend was awful, and we went prepared for the worst. In actual fact the weather remained dry for the duration of the trip, which was a great relief.
